Gerard Hol works as a consulting engineer in the applications of materials in constructions. His education started at Technical College, direction mechanical engineering. After that he opted for Materials Science at the University of Delft.

Gerard started his career at DHV, where his emphasis lay on applying residues as secondary materials in building materials. He was also active in the contemplation of sewage and the reuse of granules, coming from the recycling of construction and demolition waste. 

 

Gerard: "In recent years my interest is mainly on the development of concrete with custum features, such as minimal shrinkage, rapid strength development and low heat generation during hardening. But also minimalizing the use of the Portland cement brick, by the application of industrial residues."

Gerard was appointed at the Dutch Arbitration Institute NAI as an arbitrator. He is currently following a course at the University of Leiden to be admitted to the National Register of Court Expers.
